Honduran family lives in Northwest Side church while awaiting asylum

The young family, who say they have been threatened by gang members in Honduras, crossed the U.S. border legally June 26, nearly three weeks before the Trump administration issued a July 16 rule that migrants seeking asylum couldn’t enter the country without first attempting to get protection from another country along their route.
